Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
In 1955, the Browning Arms Company released the Model 1910 pistol, which was renamed the Model 1955 for the American market. This model, which was produced in Belgium, was almost identical to its European counterpart, with the exception of the markings and grips. However, in 1968, the importation of this model was stopped due to stricter gun-control laws in the United States. The Model 1955, like its predecessor the FN Model 1910, is a semi-automatic pistol that operates through blowback and is based on the design by John Browning. The 1931 Fabrique Nationale (FN) Baby Browning is a small blowback-operated semi-automatic pistol designed by Belgium-born Dieudonné Saive. It is chambered in .25 ACP (6.35mm) and features a six-round magazine capacity. The pistol is striker-fired and uses a single action blowback mechanism.
This exquisitely carved set is a remarkable example of Browning's expertise in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Don't miss the chance to own this vintage set as it might be a rare opportunity that may not come again.
