The FNH FNX-45 Tactical is a semi-automatic pistol that builds on the original FNP-45, originally designed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, with enhanced features tailored for combat and self-defense. This hammer-fired pistol combines proven reliability with modern engineering in a durable polymer frame. It features a cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a polished chamber and feed ramp for smooth feeding and extraction. The barrel is threaded (.578×28 TPI) to accommodate aftermarket suppressors and includes a thread protector. Raised 3-dot tritium night sights are optimized for visibility and allow for sighting even when a suppressor is installed. The stainless steel slide includes both front and rear serrations for a firm grip during loading and clearing. It operates along steel rails housed in a replaceable steel subframe, enhancing durability. A steel recoil spring guide rod further improves performance and longevity.
