The GLOCK 19 Gen5 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol is a compact carry firearm that is considered a benchmark by many. It is sized between the sub-compact 26 and the full-size 17, making it an ideal choice for those who want something in between. It is widely used by law enforcement agencies across the globe and is a popular concealed-carry firearm. The G19 comes with many upgrades that are common to all Generation 5 GLOCK pistols, such as the GLOCK Marksman Barrel, and it has eliminated leaf springs, which are now replaced with new coil spring designs for increased longevity and reliability. The slide release is ambidextrous, and the magazine catch is reversible. The slide has factory serrations on the front and back, and the front of the firearm is now beveled for easier reholstering. The G19 and G45 share holsters, and the slide and barrel feature GLOCK's latest ion-bonded nDLC coating, which is a truer black than previous generations, with an improved ability to function in dry conditions. The front strap no longer has finger grooves, a long-requested feature, allowing any finger size to fit comfortably around the grip. GLOCK's MBS (Modular Backstrap System) allows you to add or remove additional backstop pieces, including a beaver tail, for those with larger hands, which eliminates slide bite. In front of the trigger guard, there is an integral accessory rail that can be used for various light and laser accessories.
