The Glock 37 Gen 4, chambered in .45 GAP, was previously issued by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) beginning in 2010, replacing the Beretta 96G in .40 S&W as their standard sidearm. Chosen for its compact size and .45-caliber performance, the G37 offered a balance of stopping power and controllability tailored to law enforcement needs. This particular example is marked on the top of the slide with the official Florida Highway Patrol patch and the designation “FHP 0757,” indicating its service issue status. Though reliable and powerful, the G37 has since been phased out in favor of the Glock 45 MOS in 9mm, reflecting a department-wide shift toward higher-capacity, lower-recoil handguns with modern optic-ready features.
