The H&R 649 Convertible Model is a double-action revolver with the appearance of a single-action with its Western Style and side loading gate. They features 5 1/2" or 7 1/2" barrels with 6-shot cylinders, blue finishes and walnut grips. They were produced from 1976 to 1985 and are referred to as less expensive than S&W or Colt but still good quality firearm.
