For generations, the single-shot rifle has been the choice of the accomplished and self-assured hunter that takes pride in his or her marksmanship. The H&R Handi-Rifle series brings together premium components, extremely tight production tolerances and an inherently smooth, accurate rifle platform to give you masterful command of every round. Rough handling, wicked weather and any game animal in North America. The Synthetic Handi-Rifle can handle it all.
The H&R 1871 Handi-Rifle break-action single-shot covers 44 Mag, 357 Mag, 444 Marlin, 223 Rem, 243 Win, 270 Win and 30/06 Springfield and more. It is the same as the New England Firearms Handi-Rifle. Both were produced at the same time and in the same factory but branded both ways. The latest production is under the H&R 1871 brand. Those models include the Synthetic, Stainless, Superlight Handi-Rifle, and Handi-Grip models. In the past, there have also been wooden stock models.

The Handi-Rifle was branded as all-weather and tough. It was also affordable, making it a great entry-level gun. In fact, there was even a Youth model or two. By the time it got to synthetic stocks, the Handi-Rifles were using high-density polymer forends and stocks for excellent durability. The guns had sling swivel studs, recoil pads, smooth actions and were designed with as few parts as possible to mitigate maintenance. For safety, they had a Transfer Bar safety that should practically eliminate accidental firing when a gun is dropped.
This SB2-SC4 Handi-Rifle features a synthetic Realtree Hardwood Camo stock and forearm with a 22" barrel chambered for the .243 Win cartridge and blue finish. Take down any game with one-shot skill. This single-shot rifle is a great tool for showing your honed shooting skill.
