The IMI Baby Eagle is a compact, all-steel semi-automatic pistol that distills the proven engineering of Israel’s service pistols into a smaller, heavier, and exceptionally shootable defensive handgun with a reputation for durability and accuracy. Developed by Israel Military Industries as a reduced-size companion to the larger Jericho series, the Baby Eagle is closely related to the Jericho 941 and traces its mechanical lineage to the CZ-75 pattern, using a short-recoil, locked-breech system with the slide riding inside the frame rails for enhanced rigidity and smooth cycling. Chambered most commonly in 9×19 mm and .40 S&W, the Baby Eagle typically features a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger with a frame- or slide-mounted safety/decocker (depending on variant), a steel frame that adds reassuring weight to tame recoil, and a compact barrel length that balances concealability with practical accuracy.
