Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
An improvement on their earlier Baker model, the New Ithaca Gun, or NIG, was Ithaca’s external hammer model from 1890-1914. While hammerless shotguns were becoming more popular and their designs were maturing, the external hammer shotgun was a known quantity, familiar to many and with more intuitive operation. This NIG is chambered for 12 gauge with 30″ barrels choked full. This would make a nice addition to an Ithaca collection!
