If you're looking for a fun and cost-effective way to train new shooters, shooting a 1911 chambered in .22 LR is a great option. It's also a fantastic way to practice. You can even use a Kimber conversion kit to convert an existing 1911, and it will pay for itself after just a few hundred rounds.
Kimber Rimfire pistols offer the same features and incomparable performance as Kimber Centerfires. They come with an adjustable sight, bumped beavertail grip safety, and extended thumb safety as standard. The aluminum slides and frames make the rimfire pistols extremely light, which makes them ideal for young shooters. The conversion kits are compatible with all Kimber .45 ACP pistols with either 4- or 5-inch barrels and single-stack magazines. They also fit most brands of 1911 pistols, provided that they are mil-spec, single stack, and do not have a ramped barrel.
