The Model 1895 Big Bore is a lever action centerfire rifle. All variants feature a solid top receiver hammer block safety and side ejection. The base model features an American black walnut pistol grip stock with cut checkering and Mar-Shield finish blued finish, 22″ barrel with deep cut Ballard-type rifling, adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear and ramp front sights and tubular magazine. Other variants may sport a 16.5″ or 18.5″ barrel, stainless steel metal parts, large loop lever, straight grip stock, Skinner peep sight or Picatinny rail.
