And when our customers told us that we should offer a bolt action center-fire rifle, we not only listened, we went to work. Our Marlin MR-7 is the result. Incorporating a wealth of features that have proven their worth among American shooters, the MR-7 is the culmination of years of research, development and field testing. We wanted to create a rifle that was as strong, smooth, accurate and reliable as any bolt action made, and judging from our test panels' responses, we have succeeded.
Our customers wanted a rifle with (A) a 3-position safety, (B) a bolt face encircled by three rings of 4140 steel, (C) a shrouded striker and high-visibility cocking indicator, (D) an adjustable 3-6 lb. trigger, (E) a forged, machined and heat-treated receiver and (F) an extra-strong bolt lockup, and (G) a hinged floorplate with a removable, yet securely mounted, 4-shot box magazine. They asked for a 22" barrel with 6-groove precision rifling and a recessed muzzle. And, they preferred a classically configured, cut-checkered American walnut stock, fitted with quick-detachable swivel studs and a shock-absorbing rubber butt pad. The Marlin MR-7 incorporates all these features, and has performance to match. The action is as slick as glare ice, and the rifle comes up to the shoulder in a smooth, natural motion.
Until now, if you wanted all these features you'd have to buy a half-dozen different rifles. Today, the MR-7 has it all, at a price lower than that of our major competitors' rifles, and with a 5-year limited warranty. But, as always, seeing is believing. Check out the Marlin MR-7.
