Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Mauser Model 98 kurz is a bolt-action rifle that uses the 7.92×57mm (8mm) Mauser cartridge. It was adopted as the standard service rifle by the German Wehrmacht in 1935. The rifle is commonly abbreviated as Karabiner 98k or Kar98k, and is often mistakenly referred to as a K98, which is actually a Polish carbine and a copy of the Kar98a. The Karabiner 98k was one of the final developments in the long line of Mauser military rifles.
During World War II, the Karabiner 98k was supplemented by semi-automatic and fully automatic rifles, but it remained the primary German service rifle until the end of the war in 1945. Following the conclusion of World War II, millions of Karabiner 98k rifles were captured by the Soviets and widely distributed as military aid. As a result, the rifle continues to appear in conflicts across the world as they are taken out of storage during times of strife.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
