Meriden was known for producing top-notch double-barrel shotguns in 12, 16, and 20 gauge. These shotguns were fitted with a range of barrels, including steel, laminated, twist, and Damascus. Skilled artisans previously employed by Parker engraved some of these guns. The shotguns were available in various grades and had automatic safeties and cocking indicators. The barrels were made of different materials, including Krupp steel, armory steel, and Damascus of varying grades. Buyers could select between hammerless or hammer shotguns with different levels of engraving.

Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
From 1905 to 1918, the Meriden Firearms Company, located in Meriden, Connecticut, USA, produced small arms. They manufactured twenty types of revolvers, both with and without hammers, and were able to produce up to one hundred handguns per day in 1906. The company also made shotguns and rifles.
Sears, Roebuck & Co. acquired the Andrew Fyrberg & Sons firearms manufacturing plant and relocated it to Meriden, Connecticut in 1905, inside the Malleable Iron Company's plant. The Meriden Firearms Company sold their firearms through the Sears catalog and other retailers under different trade names. In the autumn of 1912, they introduced the Model 15 slide-action .22 rifle, which was based on Savage patents. The main plant of the company was sold to New England Westinghouse in 1916 (which soon resold it to Colt). Due to the end of World War I in 1918, Sears closed the Meriden Firearms Company.
