Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
This lot includes a total of six knives, two of which were issued by the military during the Korean War. These knives were used by soldiers to cut ropes and small branches, and for other similar purposes. The knives are approximately 7-1/4" long x 1" wide, with a blade thickness of 5/16" and weigh around 1.6 ounces. The lot also includes two U.S. Military Mess Kit Knives - UCCO Flatware Cutlery Utensils, measuring 7 3/8 inches each. The larger foldable knife is a Camillus folding machete, believed to be a "Jungle Knife" from 1942-1949. The last knife, the Camillus Coast Guard Model S702, is an updated version of the Q5 US Coast Guard Single Blade Rope Knife. It was introduced in 1949, with a Black Delrin handle and can opener added. The letter "S" in front of the number indicates that it is made of stainless steel.
