The Para-Ordnance C6.45 LDA, commonly known as the “Para-Carry,” is a compact, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP and designed specifically for concealed carry. Manufactured by Para-Ordnance, a Canadian firearms company established in 1985 by Ted Szabo and Thanos Polyzos, the C6.45 LDA emerged in the early 2000s as part of the company’s innovative Light Double Action (LDA) series. This series was notable for incorporating a smooth double-action-only trigger system into a 1911-style platform, offering a consistent trigger pull while retaining the ergonomics and reliability of the classic 1911. The LDA mechanism addressed safety concerns often associated with single-action pistols carried cocked and locked, making it a popular choice among law enforcement and civilian concealed carry users.
