Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Many people mistake the VZ2008 rifle for an AK-47 or a Kalashnikov-style firearm. However, the truth is that it is modeled after the VZ. 58 and is very different from the AK-47 in terms of function and design. There are no internal interchangeable parts between the two rifles, and even their magazines are not compatible. The only thing they have in common is the 7.62 x 39mm cartridge.
To fully comprehend the VZ2008, it is important to have some knowledge about the VZ. 58. Essentially, the VZ2008 is a replica of the Czechoslovakian VZ. 58 battle rifle that was introduced in 1958. Czechoslovakia, having a proficient arms manufacturing industry, decided to produce its own rifle instead of adopting the AK-47. However, they ensured that the rifle used the same cartridge as the other Warsaw Pact countries. Over a period of approximately twenty-five years, Czechoslovakia manufactured almost a million of these rifles. The VZ. 58 has been the primary battle weapon of the armed forces of Slovakia until recently. Despite having a successor, the firearm's reliability and effectiveness have been so impressive that it has not been replaced sooner. Czechpoint is the company that still imports the VZ. 58 into the USA. The VZ2008 is produced and distributed by Century Arms, using Czech parts kits and American-made receivers and barrels. The VZ2008 is a firearm that every gun enthusiast should consider adding to their collection. It has a rich history, is enjoyable and affordable to shoot, and is a high-quality firearm that costs far less than a more modern battle rifle.
