Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this extremely scarce semi-automatic pistol for a penny-start auction; this is the Randall Firearms Company Raider “Commander!”
Although manufactured for just under two years—from June 7, 1983, to May 15, 1985—Randall pistols made a lasting impact on handgun design and history. With only 9,968 pistols produced across 24 models, 12 variations, and three calibers, each Randall is exceptionally rare, highly collectible, and represents a unique chapter in the evolution of modern handguns.
Introduced on August 31, 1983, the Randall Service Model-C A211 was the first in the Commander-length series, featuring a round-top slide and fixed sights. With a 4.25" barrel, the A211’s overall length was 0.75" shorter than the full-size A111, while maintaining the same seven-round magazine capacity and grip height. Weighing 36 ounces compared to the A111’s 38 ounces, the A211 offered a slightly more compact, carry-friendly option. Production of this model concluded on September 6, 1984, after just 992 units, with serial numbers ranging from RF02001C to RF05808C.

The Randall Firearms Company Raider “Commander” is a Commander-length M1911 variant produced during the company’s short run of stainless-steel 1911s in the early to mid-1980s. Introduced initially as the Service Model-C (the “C” for compact) before being re-badged as the Raider, the Commander configuration typically features a 4.25" (4¼") barrel, round-top slide, and fixed combat sights, and was offered in traditional .45 ACP with seven-round magazines. Randall’s Raider line was conceived as a rugged, service-oriented 1911 built almost like a “tank” in all-stainless construction, and the company marketed a small family of related models (full-size Service/Combat, Commander/Raider, and a handful of rarer limited variants) before production ended in the mid-1980s.
