Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Model 10 is a shotgun that uses a pump-action mechanism. It was designed by John Pedersen for Remington Arms in 1908. The shotgun features an internal striker within the bolt and a tube magazine that can be loaded and ejected from a port on the bottom of the receiver. This design has several benefits. For one, it allows for a solid top and sides of the receiver, which keeps out snow, rain, and dirt. Additionally, the shells are ejected down and away from the shooter's face, providing an extra level of safety in case a shell accidentally explodes before the bolt is fully closed and locked. During World War 1, the United States used the Model 10 shotgun as a "trench gun" with shortened barrels.
