Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington Model 700 stands as a cornerstone in the realm of bolt-action rifles, tracing its origins to the innovative designs of Mike Walker in the post-World War II era. Walker’s pursuit of a cost-effective and efficient rifle led to the development of the Model 721 and 722 series, which laid the groundwork for the iconic Model 700, first introduced in 1962. Celebrated for its robust bolt-action mechanism and remarkable versatility, the Model 700 quickly gained favor among hunters, target shooters, and military personnel alike. Its influence extended into military applications, notably shaping sniper rifles such as the M24 and M40, which became trusted tools for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. The Model 700's design accommodates various configurations, including both detachable box magazines and traditional internal magazines, enhancing its adaptability for diverse shooting preferences and environments. With a reputation for reliability, the Model 700 offers a wide range of stock, barrel, and caliber options, making it a benchmark in precision shooting. This rifle not only embodies decades of refinement and innovation but also represents a lasting legacy in firearms history, ensuring its status as a favored choice among enthusiasts and professionals.

The Remington Model 700 Limited, serial number S6746088, is a high-performance, custom-built rifle designed for precision shooting and optimal durability. Chambered in .280 Remington, a versatile and flat-shooting cartridge, this rifle is ideal for both hunting and long-range applications. The bead-blasted stainless steel finish gives it a sleek, corrosion-resistant exterior, while the 24" fluted barrel—featuring a 1:9 ¼" twist rate and recessed muzzle crown—ensures superior accuracy and minimal weight. The fluting not only reduces weight but also enhances barrel rigidity, making it highly stable during extended shooting sessions. The rifle is equipped with a drilled and tapped receiver and an installed L/A Picatinny rail, allowing for easy mounting of optics, though it does not come with iron sights. The stock is a Peak 44 Black Tooth DBM long-action aerospace-grade carbon fiber model, finished with a green and brown sponge texture for enhanced grip and comfort. This lightweight stock is paired with a 3DHEX recoil pad, providing excellent recoil absorption and stability during shooting. Additionally, the rifle features Remington's Long Action DBM, Barcut, and Paddle Latch bottom metal and includes an MDT .30-06 5-round magazine for smooth feeding. The action is a right-handed, long-action bolt-action with a Remington Model 700 XMP silver trigger set at a crisp 3lb pull weight, ensuring precise shot control. The bolt is finely crafted with a medium diamond bolt grind pattern for smooth operation. Markings on the receiver and barrel highlight the rifle’s custom origins, with the "Remington / MODEL 700 LIMITED" stamp and "S6746088" serial number. With a 13.5" length of pull (LOP), 44.5" overall length, and a 6.35lb assembly weight, this rifle strikes a perfect balance between power, precision, and portability, making it a remarkable choice for serious shooters and collectors alike. Every Custom Shop Remington 700 includes a comprehensive assembly sheet that details its specifications, highlighting this rifle's remarkable craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. This assembly sheet, illustrated in pictures 5-11, offers potential buyers crucial insights into the quality and customization options available, further cementing the rifle’s premium reputation. In conclusion, the Custom Shop Remington 700 combines innovative design, top-notch materials, and exceptional engineering, making it an ideal choice for discerning shooters who prioritize performance, reliability, and precision.
