Bryant Ridge Auction Company is pleased to present this scarce bolt action rifle today for a penny start auction, this is the Remington Model 12 Nylon! The model 12 is the much more Rare sister model to the Nylon 77, Nylon 10C, and Nylon 66.
The Nylon Model 12 was only produced from 1962-1964 with two barrel lengths, 19 5/8" and 24"(1964 Only). They only produced approximately 27,600 total.

The Remington Model 12 is the tubular magazine fed bolt action member of the Nylon family. The Nylon series was the first mass-produced rifle to feature a stock made from a material other than wood. The synthetic stock used on these rifles meant that they could operate in more adverse conditions than their wood stocked counterparts. Some have speculated that the lightweight of the guns could potentially cause substandard accuracy in the field, but this does not seem to be a complaint from Nylon series shooters. The Nylon Model 12 was only produced from 1962-1964 and they only produced approximately 27,600, a rare member of the family.
