Item Description
Bryant Ridge Auction Company is pleased to present this interesting single-shot rolling block rifle today for a penny start auction!
SPECIFICATIONS:
Finish: Blued
Barrel Length: 23.5"
Optics/Sights: Traditional Irons
Stock/Grips: Wood
Action: Rolling Block
Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
This old rolling block rimfire rifle is in need ot some tender, loving care. There are no markings whatsoever, and the bore is almost too dusty to make out the faint rifling lines. The old wooden buttstock is missing a large section near the receiver, and the forend is just the slightest bit loose. There are also two screws missing; one of which holds the front end of the bottom metal in place, and the other might either hold a takedown screw, or perhaps a set screw to hold the barrel in place. The hammer and breechblock function as normal, but the ejector has a little trouble returning to it's seated position when closing the breechblock. There is also wear, showing signs of many years of dry-firing. There is a clear indentation from the firing pin on the bottom, center section of the ejector.
This is clearly a rifle that will need a lot of work to function, but it is possible that it can be restored to it's former glory, and make a fine training rifle for a youth or a nervous newcomer. It could also make a lovely decoration above a fireplace, or in a hunting cabin.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
