The Romak 991 is a semi-automatic version of Cugir's Model 63 fully-automatic AK clone. This Romak 991 has a straight grip stock and pistol grip same as on the Romarm/Cugir WASR-10/63 rifle. The semi-automatic Romak 991 was made for sale on civilian markets. There are two variants of Romak 991 - one for single stock 10-rounds magazines and the other for double stock high-capacity magazines. The receiver is marked ROMAK 99.1 Cal 7.62x39mm and ROMARM/CUGIR, MADE IN ROMANIA, D.I.G. Va. Bch. Va.
