Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
In 1992, Gary Reeder Custom began crafting cowboy guns, with the first two models being the Tombstone Classic and Doc Holliday Classic, both based on the Ruger Blackhawk. These models quickly gained popularity, and in 1994, when the Vaquero was released, their appeal grew even further, especially the Doc Holliday Classic. These guns captured the imagination of Western enthusiasts worldwide. The Doc Holliday Classic starts as a Ruger Vaquero with new features, including a shortened 3 1/2-inch barrel, a birdshead grip, and a set of traditional grip panels. The gun is meticulously engraved with symbols related to Doc Holliday’s life, such as playing cards, revolvers, chains, boot spurs, derringers, and a noose. Additionally, full scroll engraving was also offered as an alternative to these Western motifs. Another standout feature is the fully jeweled hammer, which adds a sophisticated touch.
