This particular Sako Model AV comes with custom features such as a 22" Stainless Steel L.P.R. barrel chambered in .280 Remington, along with a synthetic stock that features texturing and a cheekpiece for improved accuracy.

The Sako AV was produced in the 1980s and 1990s by Sako Ltd. of Riihimäki, Finland, and was the long-action version in the company’s A-series of bolt-action rifles, evolving from the earlier L61R “Finnbear.” Designed for full-length cartridges such as the .30-06 Springfield, .270 Winchester, and .375 H&H Magnum, the AV retained the strength and smooth operation of its predecessor while incorporating minor refinements, including a slightly longer rear tang and an updated bolt shroud for improved safety and aesthetics. Like other Sako rifles of the period, the AV was known for its precision machining, smooth cycling, and excellent accuracy.
