The Savage Arms Model 219 is a single-shot, break-action rifle first introduced in 1938 and manufactured until 1965. Valued for its straightforward design, reliability, and affordability, the 219 was offered in a range of calibers including .22 Hornet, .25-20 WCF, .32-20 WCF, and .30-30 Winchester. It typically featured a 26-inch barrel, open sights, and a break-open action with a top lever release, paired with a plain walnut pistol grip stock. Unlike many single-shots of the era, the Model 219 had a concealed hammer, giving it a sleek profile. Over time, Savage introduced multiple variants, including one with a side lever opening system.
