The Savage Model 24, introduced in 1939 and produced in numerous configurations for over half a century, is one of the most versatile and recognizable American combination guns ever made, pairing a rifle barrel over a shotgun barrel in a simple, rugged break-action design that appealed to hunters, trappers, farmers, and outdoorsmen who needed one firearm capable of handling a wide spectrum of tasks.
