Seecamp immigrated to the US in 1959 and was also a gun designer for the shotgun maker O.F. Mossberg. He specialized in double-action conversions for the 1911 Colt .45. In 1978, Seecamp specialized in the miniaturization of pistols. The Seecamp patented spring system is currently used in almost every locked breech miniaturized semi-auto pistol.

Seecamp pistols are renowned for their compact and robust design, emphasizing reliability and ease of use in close-quarters situations. All Seecamp models feature a double-action-only (DAO) trigger mechanism, which ensures that each trigger pulls both cocks and releases the hammer. This design results in a consistently smooth and reliable firing sequence, with the hammer resting in the down position after each shot, following the slide. With a barrel length of 2.06 inches and a weight of just 11.5 ounces, these pistols are designed for discreet carry and rapid deployment. Their glass-filled nylon grips are checkered for improved handling, while the absence of traditional sights underscores their intended use at very close range.
The Seecamp LWS-25, the original model, was produced from 1981 to 1985, featuring a .25 ACP chamber and a blowback operation with a 7-round magazine capacity. The rarity of this model, with only about 5000 units made, has driven its collector's value up to $3000. Shortly after, the LWS-32 was introduced, chambered in .32 ACP, and designed to accommodate the Winchester Silvertip hollow-point ammunition. This model, notable for its chamber-ring delayed blowback operation, has a 6-round magazine capacity and remains Seecamp’s most popular firearm, often fetching prices up to $2000 during periods of high demand.
