The Sig Sauer P220-10 is a Lipsey's Exclusive offering, highly anticipated by fans of the Sig Sauer P220. Lipsey's, a premier firearms distributor/wholesaler based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, introduced three exclusive versions of the Sig 10mm at the 2015 SHOT Show. The version featured here is designed with a traditional double-action/single-action, making it ideal for carrying with a round in the chamber and the hammer in the downward position. Both the frame and slide are made of stainless steel, with the slide and many small parts finished in matte black. Like the .45 ACP and other chamberings preceding the 10mm Auto, the Sig Sauer P220 is a single-stack, double-action/single-action pistol with an exposed hammer. Equipped with a Sig-style decocking lever, the Sig Sauer P220 is designed for safe carry, incorporating a firing pin lock to prevent discharge unless the trigger is pulled. The pistol does not have a manual safety, as it is not needed. The trigger pull is smooth, and the hammer rebounds after each shot, ensuring it does not rest upon the firing pin.
