The SIG Sauer P225 is a compact, service-grade 9×19mm that essentially shrinks the P220/P226 family into a handier package without sacrificing the mechanical robustness and ergonomics SIG is known for—built as a locked-breech, short-recoil autoloader with refined slide-to-frame fit, the P225 uses proven SIG locking geometry and stout steel components to give a very solid, repeatable lockup and naturally good inherent accuracy for a compact duty pistol.
