Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1955 was developed on March 3, 1955, incorporating all the features that competitive shooters had requested at the time. These features included a heavier barrel for better balance and faster recovery, target stocks for improved grip, and a target hammer and trigger for better function. This handgun was considered to be the top-of-the-line revolver for competitive shooting. The Model 25, as it was named in 1957, has been popular since its introduction in 1955 and remains in production to date. Over the years, several changes have been made to this model. In September 1975, Smith & Wesson upgraded its line of 'N' revolvers to be equal to the prestigious Model 29 series of revolvers.
