The S&W Model 25 was originally The 1955 Model .45 Target Heavy Barrel, alternately chambered for .45 ACP and .45 Colt. This example is the Mountain Gun, chambered for .45 Colt with a 4″ lightweight barrel and round butt. As the name suggests, this would be a great carry gun when hiking where you may encounter predators. The .45 Colt is a stout round, especially with modern cartridges, and will be good protection against just about anything you’ll encounter in North America. The gun is in Fine-Excellent condition with only light cosmetic wear but has a great bore and strong mechanics. If you’re a Smith collector or just want a powerful revolver for your outdoor adventures, this is a great gun to pick up.
