The model 29 was made famous as the preferred sidearm of Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry film franchise. Since then it has seen a number of configurations from Smith & Wesson, but this is no ordinary model 29. This is The .44 Magna Classic, a 7 1/2″ barreled, full-lug, accurized variant of which only 3,000 were made in 1990. The cherrywood presentation case which comes with this revolver has done a fantastic job of protecting this revolver. While this will likely end up in a Smith & Wesson collection, where it would surely take a prized place, Smith & Wesson also made a special effort to accurize this limited production model, and this should prove to be a great target revolver as well should you choose to shoot it.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, this Smith is in PHENOMENAL condition showing no evidence of regular consumer use or handling that we can see whatsoever! Additionally, it will ship with the original cherrywood presentation case with the S&W logo on the top of the lid & red velvet interior, a certificate for the revolver, the black case which holds the original 7 front sight inserts, and all the other original contents pictured above!
