The 5926 is the sister model to such classics as 5903, 5904, 5905, 5906, 910, and 915.
This is a Limited Edition model that was only manufactured for three years, from 1990 to 1993, which makes them collectible for Smith & Wesson collectors!
The owner states that this example remains New Old Stock and we see no evidence to indicate otherwise

The Smith & Wesson Model 5926 is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that is equipped with a 4-inch barrel. It is based on the Model 5906 and has a frame-mounted decocking lever, a .304-inch smooth trigger, a black xenoy one-piece wraparound grip with curved backstrap and checkering, a .246-inch bobbed hammer, and a durable non-corrosive stainless steel finish. The Novak Lo-Mount 3-white dot fixed sights provide fast aiming down sight speed even in dim lighting conditions. The 5926 was only produced for three years, from 1990 to 1993.
