The S&W Model 625 is a gun with an interesting, if confusing, history. There was never a 625 no-dash, nor have any 625-1s been seen with the first revolvers being model 625-2. These early production guns have been seen marked both “Model of 1988” and “Model of 1989”. Just a year into production, the cylinder stop notches were enlarged on the 625-3. Able to share ammunition with semi-automatics chambered for the same cartridge, this is a great revolver to add to a collection. This example is a 3″ version which would make for a fine carry revolver.
