The .357 Magnum/.38 Special double-action revolver is built on Smith & Wesson's stainless steel K-frame, featuring a 3-screw design. This model is a stainless steel version of the Model 13, but without the extractor shroud typically found on magnum calibers. It offers a choice between a 3-inch heavy barrel with a round butt frame or a 4-inch heavy barrel with a square butt frame. The Model 65 came equipped with a .312-inch combat trigger and a .265-inch service hammer for smooth, reliable operation. Its 6-shot fluted and counterbored cylinder measures approximately 1.67 inches in length, enhances durability. A red ramp front sight, paired with an adjustable white outline micrometer click rear sight, ensures precise aiming, while the smooth backstrap and forestrap improve handling comfort.
