The M&P FPC (Folding Pistol Caliber Carbine) is a groundbreaking addition to Smith & Wesson’s lineup, showcasing a compact, folding design that prioritizes portability without sacrificing performance. When unfolded, the carbine measures 30 3/8 inches, and when folded, it shrinks down to just 16 3/8 inches, making it ideal for transport and discreet storage. The innovative horizontal folding mechanism includes a locking latch and is designed not to interfere with any top-mounted optics, allowing users to maintain their preferred sight configuration at all times. This carbine is optics-ready and includes M-LOK® slots on the handguard along with a Picatinny-style rail on top, giving shooters the flexibility to attach a wide variety of accessories. The charging slide/handle cleverly doubles as a retainer when the firearm is folded, further enhancing its space-saving design. At the muzzle, the FPC features a 1/2-28 threaded barrel with a thread protector, allowing for the easy addition of a suppressor or other muzzle device. The M&P FPC is designed with user comfort and control in mind. It includes a flat-face trigger with a crisp, clean break, providing a consistent and predictable trigger pull. The integrated recoil buffer system helps reduce felt recoil, and the interchangeable palmswell offers a customizable grip to fit various hand sizes. A reversible magazine catch ensures ambidextrous usability, appealing to both right- and left-handed shooters. One of the standout features of the FPC is its in-stock magazine storage system, which includes a quick-release tab system for rapid and efficient reloads. The firearm ships with one 17-round and two 23-round magazines, all compatible with M&P® full-size and compact pistol double-stack magazines.
