When one thinks 'Smith & Wesson', images of revolvers and small frame pistols come to mind. However, this shotgun is a prime example of how not to underestimate or "type-cast" a company as a one-trick-pony. This shotgun takes all those preconceived notions about the diversity of manufacturing at S&W, and blows it up like a well placed No. 7 dove load on a clay pigeon. The sharpness and clarity of the checkering on the grip and forend is itself quite something to behold. The polished receiver and barrel have been expertly blued to a deep luster, and the mirror polished bolt face leaves nothing else to be desired in an impressive and elegant shotgun. The finish on the stock and forend will no doubt turn heads and impress even those extremely uptight bourgeois shooting club members.
