Built by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center, this pistol is not your standard Commander 1911. Six lightening cuts and scale serrations on the slide, scandium alloy frame, skeletonized trigger and hammer, precision crowned muzzle, Polished feed ramp, spherical barrel bushing, full-length guide-rod, extended beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous thumb safety, frontstrap and mainspring housing stipping, bobbed mainspring housing to break up the print while carrying all the features included on a pistol hand-crafted by the gunsmiths of the Performance Center. This would make an equally outstanding IDPA competition gun or BBQ gun and wouldn’t be out of place in any 1911 or S&W collection.
