The 1911 Range Officer Operator model is a great pistol loaded with excellent features. It retains the features that made the original Range Officer great while adding new ones that make it an outstanding self-defense weapon for both carry and home use. With its five-inch barrel and fully supported ramp, it provides an extended sight radius, making it even easier to get accurate shots on target. The front has a shielded fiber optic tube, while the rear has a low-profile combat style that won’t snag during the draw.
Functionality and aesthetics can go hand in hand in a combat gun. The 1911 Range Officer® Operator® is an excellent example of this. It features a forged stainless steel slide and frame with polished flats for an attractive look. The Cocobolo grips are checkered, providing a firm hold without damaging the carry holsters and clothes. This pistol has all the serious 1911 fighting features, such as the classic flat mainspring housing that is checkered for a positive grip. The extended beavertail safety has a memory bump for positive activation. Furthermore, it has a long aluminum match-grade trigger, skeletonized hammer, and rail for light or laser, making it ready for use.
