The Springfield Armory® XD-S Semi-Auto Pistol is a slim and ergonomically designed firearm that is ideal for concealed carry use. It uses a single-stack magazine (NOT included in this example) that significantly reduces the width of the grip frame, making it highly concealable. The interchangeable backstraps (NOT included in this example) allow the shooter to choose the correct fit based on personal preferences. The pistol features a durable polymer frame and a Satin Stainless finished forged steel slide, just like the standard models of Springfield XD pistols. The frame has an aggressive checkering that provides a firm grip, making it easier to control during rapid fire. The pistol also has a grip safety, which blocks the weapon from firing unless the safety is depressed. The safety lever built into the trigger blade backs up the grip safety. The firearm also has a loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator that give both visual and tactile indications of whether the gun is loaded and ready to fire in any lighting condition. The fiber optic front sight and low profile dovetail rear sight acquire rapid sight in dim or bright lighting. The Springfield Armory XD-S Semi-Auto Pistol can be fieldstripped easily without the need for tools, making it effortless to clean and maintain.
