The STI Marauder handgun is constructed on the company's well-known and multi-material 2011 modular frame. The upper assembly is made of steel and includes the rails and full-length dust cover that provide weight up front to reduce muzzle flip. It also has an accessory rail on the dust cover, which makes it easy to attach tactical accessories such as lights or lasers. This feature can be handy for shooting in night matches or training in low-light environments.
At the back of the pistol is an extended, ambidextrous thumb safety; a high-swept beavertail grip safety; and a lightweight, skeletonized hammer that helps reduce lock time. The carbon-steel slide features sharply cut front and rear grasping grooves. The sights are mounted in dovetail cuts, with the front being a red fiber-optic unit while the rear is the STI's low-profile Tactical Adjustable Sight (TAS), which can be fully adjusted for windage and elevation.
Designed with the 3-gun competitor in mind, the Marauder is built to be light, fast, and capable. The light-rail will never limit you from shooting a night match, and the oversized tactical magazine ensures that the gun is always ready for use, even during marathon 75-round stages. This gun is equipped with a durable CeraKote™ finish, which can definitely handle all the abuse 3-gun competition can throw at it. Its best-in-class performance had been redefined.
