Originally introduced as the "Pre-88" model, the TZ-75 was equipped with a slide-mounted decocker safety, while the later "Series 88" transitioned to a more user-friendly frame-mounted manual thumb safety, closely mirroring the original CZ-75 design. One of the standout features of the Series 88 is its versatility, enabling easy caliber conversions with minimal hassle by simply swapping out the barrel, recoil spring, and magazine.
