Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Compact Carbine lever-action rifle has a 16 1/8” barrel and a shortened stock for a shorter length of pull, making it an ideal choice for Cowboy Action Shooting. This is the first time Uberti has manufactured a model with a shortened length of pull for Taylors. The carbine can hold ten rounds of .38 Sp ammunition and is perfect for persons of shorter stature and youth shooters who experience discomfort using heavier, lengthy standard 1873 lever-action rifles. The walnut stock has a rubber butt pad that increases comfort. The shortened length of pull (less than 12.8”) on the compact carbine is more accommodating, allowing for ease of use and increased comfort.
