This example comes with approximately 317 rounds of .257 JDJ ammunition, which will ship separately from the pistol! The .257 JDJ (J.D. Jones) cartridge is based on the .225 Winchester case. J.D. Jones of SSK Industries developed the .257 JDJ, among other JDJ cartridges, by necking up the .225 Winchester case to .257 caliber. The .225 Winchester's semi-rimmed design was specifically chosen for its strength and suitability for break-action firearms.
