Originally, Thompson/Center Contender Carbine Conversion was in a kit form with a 21" blued barrel, walnut stock and a single fastener walnut forend. This kit was made available in about 1985 and was available in six (6) caliber. In 1986 a BATF ruling resulted in Thompson Center eliminating the kit form and then offered a full carbine, complete with a Contender frame.This particular offering includes the Contender frame, original walnut stock and original one (1) fastener finger grooved forend and all components are new in their original packaging.
