The Thompson Center Encore barrels are known for their high accuracy and flexibility, making them an excellent choice for shooting or hunting. Whether you need a muzzleloader, shotgun, centerfile rifle, pistol barrel, or big bore brush gun, the TC Encore barrels offer superior durability and precision. What sets the TC Encore apart is that you can easily switch out the barrel by removing two forend screws and the hinge pin, without having to readjust your scope or sights. This makes it an extremely versatile and reliable gun barrel that can be passed down from one generation of gun enthusiasts to the next.
The Thompson Center Encore gained popularity with the rise of long-range target shooting and handgun hunting. Its single-shot, break-action design provided unparalleled accuracy, especially in the handgun space, allowing pistols to achieve rifle-like accuracy. The TC Encore was first released in 1983 and has a slightly different trigger mechanism than its predecessor, the Contender. The Encore's trigger mechanism is designed to be stronger, and the break-action is easier to open. To open and close the Encore's break-action, squeeze the outside bottom of the trigger guard toward the buttstock/grip, and the action will open. With an extractor, you can then remove the cartridge.
