Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
While it's pretty common to see surplus USSR firearms in the United States, imported commercial firearms from the USSR are not all that common. Typically, USSR arms would not be exported to the US until after the USSR was no more. Tula Arms Plant, while well known for producing military arms for the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union, also has a long history as a prolific sporting arms manufacturer. During the Soviet era, Tula was obviously not permitted to indulge in rich decoration and embellishment of their firearms, but they did build up an impressive ability to produce bullet-proof, simple, reliable guns and this is just one such shotgun. External hammers make it easy to re-strike a stubborn primer and to visually identify the status of the shotgun as safe or cocked. Double-barrels allow for a quick follow up shot without a complicated feeding mechanism. Chrome-lined bores go a long way to preventing erosion and corrosion. A Greener crossbolt ensures solid lockup. If you were to imagine the quintessential Soviet shotgun, you might think of something like this TOZ-66.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3 day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
