Colt's Model 1873, the Single Action Army, is the "gun that won the west," perhaps the most iconic handgun of all time. For nearly 150 years, the gun has been produced in a variety of configurations, finishes, and calibers. This revolver is the absolute closest to a Colt you can get without a pony on the side. USFA is known for the finest Peacemaker reproductions ever made! USFA is no longer in business, making these high-quality revolvers not only less common than real Colts but becoming more scarce every day.
USFA was best known for producing firearms based on the Colt Single Action revolver, Colt M1911 semi-automatic pistol, and rifles such as the Colt Lightning Carbine. The company used to maintain an "Old Armory Custom Shop" which produced custom firearms to order. These firearms featured expensive traditional materials and techniques such as engraving or hand engraving, gold inlay, damascening, case hardening, polishing and fine metal plating or other finishes.

USFA was the only firearm company still manufacturing in the city of Hartford, CT when it closed in 2011. Due to space limitations, the company built an additional production location outside of the Blue Dome in order to accommodate their CNC Machinery.
