The Walther PP (Polizeipistole), introduced in 1929, stands as one of the most influential semi-automatic handguns of the 20th century, renowned for its elegant engineering, dependable operation, and historically significant place in both police and civilian sidearm development. Built around a fixed-barrel, straight-blowback design, the PP delivers excellent inherent accuracy, while its double-action/single-action trigger system—revolutionary at the time—set the template for countless later service pistols. Typically chambered in .32 ACP (7.65mm Browning) and occasionally .380 ACP, the pistol features an all-steel construction with clean, precise machining, a slim profile, and a distinctive stepped slide that gives it a refined, immediately recognizable silhouette.
