The Wilson Combat Supergrade series represents the absolute pinnacle of Wilson’s 1911 craftsmanship—these are heirloom-quality, custom-built pistols assembled by the company’s most experienced pistolsmiths. Whether in their X-TAC Supergrade or more classic Supergrade flavors (Full-Size, Commander, Professional, Compact), each model is hand-fitted to exacting standards, with only a few built per month. From a design and performance perspective, the Supergrade delivers on both beauty and function. Critical features include machined “Bullet Proof” internal parts, heavy slide chamfering, and precision work on the barrel and bushing for tight lock-up. The trigger is tuned to a crisp 3.5–4.5 lb pull, depending on model, and Wilson guarantees 1" accuracy at 25 yards for many of these builds. The signature X-TAC frontstrap and slide treatments (on X-TAC Supergrades) are designed to give enhanced grip and control even under adverse conditions—wet hands, gloves, etc.—without being overly aggressive.
